Dr. Stephen G. Peters

Dr. Peters has been a classroom teacher, assistant principal, principal, director of secondary education, and superintendent during his 38 + year career. Most of his experiences have been in schools that made significant growth in short periods of time, resulting in both National and State Blue-Ribbon distinction. In 2015, Dr. Peters was the featured subject of an education documentary filmed in the U.S.A. by the BBC titled, "American High School, A School in the South." The documentary won "Best Education Documentary in Europe in 2016 and was purchased and rebroadcasted by National Geographic in 2017. As superintendent, Peters led his school district to being named a National School District of Distinction in 2020. An avid sports fan and former athlete, Stephen was inducted into the Colleton County basketball Hall of Fame in 2016. Dr. Peters is founder of the Nationally recognized Gentlemen's & Ladies Club programs, featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show and Past President of the International Literacy Association (ILA). Stephen is also a best -selling author of several books: Do You Know Enough About Me to Teach Me, Teaching to Capture and Inspire All Learners, Choosing to Believe; Creating a Framework for School Success„ Inspired to Learn: Why We Must Give Children Hope, Co-author of One, A Process for Building Schools of Excellence for Every One and Everyone, and soon to be released, he is the co-author of "Leadership Transformation from A to Z: What Great Leaders Do. Presently, Dr. Peters is President/CEO of The Peters Group(thepetersgroup.global), a National and International Education Consulting Agency and Consultant, with Initiative One Leadership Institute (www. Initiativeone.com). Stephen delievers keynote addresses, provides professional development workshops for leaders, teachers, staff, students, and parents, and serves as executive coach to superintendents and principals throughout the U.S.

He received his B.S. from Hampton University, his M.ED. from Old Dominion University and his Ed.D. from South Carolina State University. Stephen and his wife, Dr. Angela Peters reside in Columbia, S.C. 2

Angela

Angela has served at various senior leadership levels in higher education for over 30 years as Chief Academic Officer, Provost and Vice President. She received prestigious awards that include the South Carolina Governors Professor Award, White House Millennium Teaching Award, E. Aim Nalley Southeastern Regional American Chemical Society Award for Volunteer Services, and the Stanley C. Israel Southeastern Regional American Chemical Society Award for Diversity. Angela's career exemplifies a wealth of knowledge, research, practical experience, and a skill set that will add and expand to positively impact countless leaders all over the world. Angela lives in South Carolina with her family.

Ashley

Ashley has been an educator and developer of community partnerships for more than 15 years. Her passion is designing and implementing educational and engaging programming for youth. She believes exposure is vital to young people and creating multiple pathways to success. Through her work with public-private partnerships, philanthropy, fundraising and development, Ashley continues to provide opportunities and options for youth. Her background and experience in business, education, and organizational leadership (BS, MS) were instrumental in establishing year-round sustainable youth programming. Ashley lives in Brooklyn, NY with her family.

Greg

Greg has an extensive career in public education spanning over 30 years as a superintendent of schools, chief auxiliary services officer, district supervisor of student services, principal, assistant principal and teacher. He is an experienced educational executive with extensive knowledge of federal and state laws, board policies, strategic planning, contract negotiation, and educational governance in the public school system. Greg led one of the most successful Gentlemen's Leadership Clubs while a Principal at Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School. Greg lives in South Carolina with his family.
